Research and Technology Transfer division names Pogue employee of the year
Jason Pogue, Senior Financial Coordinator, Office of the VP for Research and Technology Transfer, received the Research and Technology Transfer division's “2006 Employee of the Year Award”. He was nominated by several employees in the office for his efforts. Jason started with the VPRTT division as a freshman and continued his employment while pursuing his bachelors and master's degrees. Congratulations Jason for going the extra mile and a job well done.

OSU selects undergraduate research scholars

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at OSU has selected twelve undergraduate students to participate in the 2006-2007 Niblack Research Scholars Program. The program is the inspiration of John Niblack, who chose research as a career following the opportunity to work in an OSU laboratory as an undergraduate. Niblack devoted his life to research, and now inspires students with an interest in science to broaden their education through this program.

OSU Vet Center, Presbyterian Health Foundation dedicate laboratory

OSU's Center for Veterinary Health Sciences on Thursday dedicated a new biosafety level 3 laboratory facility and recognized the Presbyterian Health Foundation for its investment in veterinary medical research at OSU. The result of a partnership marked by the foundation's $1 million gift to the veterinary center, the facility greatly expands capabilities for biodefense and emerging infectious disease research.

OSU recognized outstanding faculty for excellence in research during Fall Convocation in Stillwater on October 12. The 2006 Research Distinguished Research Awards honor faculty for outstanding and meritorious achievements in research. The nine award winners have demonstrated continued excellence in research throughout their academic careers and have received national and international acclaim for achievement in their respective fields of study.
