A by-product of the state’s investment
in OSU’s radiation detection program is the commercial
success of companies emerging from a university-private
sector cluster. Landauer—the world’s largest
radiation dosimetry service provider—operates in Stillwater
and licensed technology developed by OSU. Nomadics collaborates
with OSU and is developing a number of radiation detection
technologies for commercial application. Nextep Technologies
co-located to Venture I in the Oklahoma Technology and Research
Park to continue work which started as a spinoff of OSU
research. Eril Research, a radiation company from California,
moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma to work more closely with
OSU.
